When comes to sharepoint administration site, every time I have seen this you get a http://yourportaladmin:932778 port from the wizard. You can specify as you like in the wizard, but accidantly if you forget to do so so then what .........
its very simple
STSADM I beleave all admins familier with this command line admin tool,
Stsadm –o setadminport –port 7777
and that's all. no restart, no iisreset, just this.
